Paul McCarthy

Managing Director

Paul is the founder and principal of the agency. He has worked for multi-national agencies in strategic planning, account service and media planning.

He also has an accounting background, a Diploma in Advertising and for 12 years held senior management positions in the media industry.

Since establishing PMA in 1989, Paul has developed a mix of international, national and regional business partners and has built a strong advertising team around him.

Paul currently sits on numerous company boards and acts as an advisor to Government Departments in Fiji and PNG.

His background is in Media and Strategy.

Matt McCarthy

Group Business Director

Matt has extensive experience in account service and media strategy, planning and buying.

One of his major strengths is in developing sound strategic plans that integrate the brand and creative direction of a campaign.

Matt has completed a Diploma of Marketing (Dip. Adv. Mkt) and Bachelor of Business (Marketing).

Matt has worked with such business partners as BMW, Mirvac, Harvey World Travel, Tallwoods Residential Development, P&O, Stockland, Downer EDi, Pioneer and Repco.

Clint McCarthy

Group General Manager & Creative Director

Clint has written, directed and produced a range of highly successful campaigns, including a campaign that was rated by Newspoll as the highest in correct brand recall in their 20 years of operation.

Clint has written and been involved in the production of a range of campaigns in travel, health, property, government including campaigns for MIrvac, Disney, Harvey World Travel, Mayne Health, Tourism Fiji, Stockland, Aprilia and Downer.

Trent McCarthy

Trent is PMACG Finance Director who has been with the agency since 1999.
Trent has a complete knowledge of the agency with five years experience in media placement and account management and the balance of his time managing the agency financials.
He has combined this knowledge to provide a sound financial model of which the agency client services are provided across five companies within the Group.

Trudi Busch

Strategic Director

Trudi has spent most of her working career within Advertising Agencies. She was Client Director and Strategist at PHD, she has also worked Client side as National Advertising Director at Peugeot.

Whilst Strategy is her passion and her focus at PMACG, she also has vast experience across media strategy, planning and buying, Trudi believes that insights and research are crucial for developing sound strategies.

Client experience includes luxury group LVMH, Stockland, Clarendon Homes, Alfa Romeo, Suzuki, Kia, and Unilever.

Anthony Lynn

Digital Director

Anthony has expertise in leading high growth or turnaround businesses for over 20 years.

He spent 7 years with GECplc (now Ericsson) where he was the youngest CEO within the GEC Group of international companies.

He also led a multi-divisional products and systems business, a software business and a service business within Swiss based ABB, one of the world’s largest electrical engineering companies.

As CEO he later led a Macquarie backed ASP online software business prior to joining the international solid state storage vendor, Platypus Technology.

For the past 5 years Anthony has led a UK based retail media agency to become the largest seller of digital and online media in the leading UK market.

Anthony holds a degree in mechanical engineering and a MBA from the University of New South Wales Australian Graduate School of Management.

Bruce Illidge

Creative Director

Bruce will have a hands-on role in the development of all HomeWorld campaigns and projects to ensure the highest standards of creativity are delivered as well as overseeing adherence to brand guidelines.

Bruce joined PMACG when IT&P, the agency Bruce founded joined the group. Bruce has been creative director of both international and Australian owned agencies.

Although creative awards aren’t necessarily the measure of an agency, they do reflect a standard that gives clients confidence in what outcomes they can expect.

Having received over 100 Australian and international awards, you can be assured you will receive consistently excellent creative work.

Bruce has developed many successful campaigns for a wide range of accounts including Air Pacific, Qantas Holidays, Hamilton Island, BridgeClimb Sydney, Weight Watchers, Audi, Volkswagen, Landcom, HomeWorld, Mirvac, NSW Dept of Health (Quit), Mission Australia, Connector Motorways and many others.

Camilla Thompson

Account Director

Camilla has been with PMACG for seven years and has played a key role in developing long-term partnershis and campaigns with various travel clients such as Tourism Fiji, AirPacific, Norwegian CruiseLine, StartCruises, Scandinavian Airlines, HarveyWorld Travel, and The Captain’sChoice Tour.

Camilla manages the account service team and works closely with creative, media and strategy to deliver successful campaigns.

Camilla’sbackground is brand and advertising research and she believes that research is an imperative part in developing campaigns that achieve results.

Melissa Bruce

Media Manager

Having just completed a 14-year tenure at Mediacom, Melissa will bring 15 years experience in the media business to PMACG on February 20th.

Alongside her excellent relationship-building ability, advanced analytical skills and media expertise across both strategy and media trading, Melissa will be focused on supervising,training and managing her team in their roles across the media disciplines of media planning, buying and administration.

Melissa's number one priority will be servicing and providing up-to-date media intelligence for our portfolio of clients.

Melissa's extensive client experience includes Best & Less,Trimex, L’Occitane, Buzz- Consulting (includes StTropez), DavidJones, Nokia, Ikea, Olympus ,Hamilton Island, Oriental Merchant and Australand.

Melissa completed a Bachelor of Arts in 1992 and has also completed her Diploma in Education Training.

Viki has worked across advertising, radio and marketing fields throughout her career.
She started out in full service advertising agencies and then went on to pursue a management career in radio. From radio she returned back to agencies to head the L'Oreal Luxury Products Division at Publicis/Optimedia. Advancing her professional portfolio Viki moved to the client side as External Communications Director. Back in Sydney in late 2008, Viki joined MEC where she was promoted to Business Director.
Core competencies include the ability to identify game changing insights through market analysis and translating these insights into actionable strategies.

Client experience includes:  Colgate Palmolive (Oral Care Division), Energizer/Schick, Universal Music Australia,  Nutrimetics (Part of the Sara Lee Group), L'Oreal Luxury Products Division, Giorgio Armani Group, Country Road, Activision/Blizzard, Tom Tom, Singapore Tourism Board and Singapore Airlines.

Mike Parker-Brown

A UK-trained journalist, Mike Parker-Brown is high profile on the local and Asia-Pacific travel scene having handled public relations and corporate affairs for several large organisations in recent years.

These include airlines, wholesale tour operators (both domestic and overseas-based), travel agency groups, hotels, cruise lines, associations, industry bodies and national tourist offices.

Countries represented include Indonesia, Hong Kong, Oman and most recently Fiji where Mike had responsibility for the national tourist office’s corporate and global PR activity.

Mike is a member of a select group of travel industry PR practitioners to have been awarded a prestigious Australian Society of Travel Writers’ ‘Communicator of the Year’ award.

Mike’s non-travel activity includes a stint with the Australian Trade Commission where as a senior media adviser he held responsibility for the Federal Government’s Olympic business strategy and also the key (and sometimes controversial) Export Market Development Grant scheme.

He received a ‘Johnston Award’ for his work on the ‘Business Club Australia’ media campaign which proved one of the most successful ever actioned by Austrade’s Corporate Communications Unit.

He has also represented executive search company TMS Asia-Pacific as Global Director of PR for several years.

His charitable activity includes providing free PR and media support to the World Bank/IFC-funded Cambodia Literacy Project for Children.

An avid surfer, Mike is married with two teenage sons – and has one more on the way, due 16 August.
